This blog post will tell you how to play the game without access to the internet (very useful if your computer crashed or your connection was interrupted). It's easy and not hard at all; it can be done with common sense. The steps are as follows:

-Insert disc into disc drive.-Load up Steam. -Right click on game name in Library, then pick "Play". -Press New Game. -Your disc will automatically be pressed. Wait for the game load. -On the first cutscene, it will tell you to turn off your internet connection. -Press X button on screen, then wait for loading to finish. That's it! You should have saved progress, so if you're not sure what exactly to do next, just start a new game to have your progress saved back. Everything else is just playing the game normally. Enjoy your game!Have fun playing Max Payne 3 on your computer!
